Update on Ontario National Engineering Month 2021

Preparations for #NEM2021 are well underway!

Is it just us or did the month of October fly by? Over the last month we have been busy spreading the word about National Engineering Month 2021 and in this post we’ll be sharing the latest update as to how things have been coming along.

Working alongside our founding partners – Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (OACETT), Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) and the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), we were able to recruit a wonderful group of partners and event leaders.

We are thrilled to welcome the following #NEM2021 partners:

  • Humber College
  • The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies (ACEC)
  • Manulife Financial
  • University of Toronto – Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering (FASE)
  • General Contractors’ Association Toronto (GCAT)
  • Seneca College
  • Conestoga College
  • Confederation College

Thank you for investing in our engineering and technology community.

To Our Event Leaders:

We’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the more than 40 engineering leaders who signed up to lead a NEM Ontario event next March. We are so excited to have you on board and can’t wait to see the types of events you’ll be leading. Over the next little while, we will be reviewing your applications, creating an event calendar and providing support to all of our fantastic event leaders.

If you are an event leader, be sure to follow us on social media and stay tuned to our website over the coming months to get tips and tricks on how to run a successful Zoom event. We’ve also created some comprehensive organizer toolkits to help take the guess-work out of planning your event and support you throughout the process to ensure your event goes off without a hitch.

More Information About #NEM2021:

Throughout the month of March 2021, all #NEM2021 Ontario events will be happening in one place via the NEM Ontario Zoom account. The goal is to have participants come away with new or deepened knowledge, skills or values that bring them together, benefit their communities or contribute to employability in engineering fields. We encourage you to show your support for our community and attend as many NEM Ontario as possible!
