2nd Annual National Engineering Month Mentor-to-Mentee Connection
About the Speed Mentoring Event
The 2nd Annual National Engineering Month Mentor-to-Mentee Connection, hosted by the Black Engineers of Canada (BEC) in partnership with the PEO London Chapter, is a dynamic event designed to bridge the gap between seasoned professionals and aspiring or transitioning engineers.
Taking place on Saturday, March 15th, 2025, this in-person event provides a unique platform for students, recent graduates, and individuals with engineering degrees who are not currently working in the field. Through structured, timed “speed mentoring” sessions, participants will connect with experienced engineers to gain valuable career insights and guidance.
This event is not only an opportunity for mentees to explore pathways into the engineering profession but also a chance for those outside the field to build relationships, gain practical advice, and take steps toward re-entering or transitioning into the industry. With topics such as career development, overcoming challenges, and navigating industry trends, mentors will share their expertise to empower mentees to achieve their goals.
By fostering these connections, the event supports career advancement, helps individuals “get a foot in the door,” and promotes economic success for participants and Canada as a whole. Join us to inspire, connect, and contribute to the future of engineering!
