National Engineering Month takes place every year in March and is a great opportunity for students, teachers and professionals to share their passion for engineering and technology. If you’re new NEM and it’s your first time hosting an event, don’t worry – we have activity ideas, funding, promotional material and swag available to support you in delivering your events. NEM Event

Engineers and engineering technologists and technicians as well as any enthusiastic youth organization, company or individuals are invited to host an event during National Engineer Month. Your event could be a design challenge, hackathon, speaker series, movie night, networking event… the possibilities are endless!

 

College Challenge Event

This student competition takes place during National Engineering Month every March. Teams of up to 5 College students work together with their local OACETT chapter and volunteers to host one or more events in their local community. Three cash prizes are available this year and will be presented at your College in a ceremony by a prominent OACETT member: $3000 for first place, $1500 for second and $750 for third. Winning teams also receive a year’s free student OACETT membership.

 

University Challenge Event

This student competition takes place during National Engineering Month every March. Teams of up to 5 University students work together with their local Engineering Society to host one or more events in their local community. Three cash prizes are available this year: $3000 for first place, $1500 for second and $750 for third.

 

School Event

Teachers from across Ontario are invited to NEM 2019! Join the community and share your passion for engineering and technology to students of all ages. No matter what grade or subject you teach, we have resources to help you get started.
