Global Spark’s main mission is to host the annual Global Engineering Week (GE Week) at its flag school, the University of Toronto. GE Week is a week-long initiative (March 8-14, 2022) which aims to expose over 10,000 students at UofT to global issues and the multidisciplinary thinking needed to tackle the world’s largest development problems. This year, we are running a Global Warming Climate Technology Speaker Panel, a national Social Impact Hackathon (Hack the Globe), collaborating with clubs to host large scale events, and partnering with over 40 courses in U of T Engineering to enrich course content with global case studies and perspectives.
