My event will focus on international students in engineering. It will address blind spots they face in learning and career advancements due to change in culture and environment. This event will focus on highlighting issues they might face during and after their engineering program and how they can tackle it. It will focus on giving them the tools and ideas on how they can put their best foot forward to give themselves a head start to their engineering profession. It will also address the importance of co-op and internships, the effects of immigration on their engineering study and career and answer their pressing questions they currently face. At this event, I would like to bring in 1 or 2 successful engineering professionals who were international students and spark further dialogue on the topics raised.
