Pueblo Circuits 101
March 20 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm
Circuits 101 will introduce children to circuits to promote hands-on experimentation and get them excited about the basic concepts that electrical engineers have to master for their daily work. We will provide a kit specifically designed by Pueblo Science engineers to introduce young students to safety, following procedures, validation and verification.
The kit includes an artist designed circuit board, LEDs, resistors, a switch, a battery holder and a battery. During the event, the children will attach the components to the board with the help of their parents and Pueblo Science engineers. What makes this activity really fun is that the kids will learn how to solder and can turn their creation into a very cool necklace! Three hundred kits will be distributed to three hundred children who are at the mall on the day of the event. The kids will also be provided with an age-appropriate write-up containing the assembly procedure as well as the concepts learned such as electricity, electrical components, resistance, battery capacity, and light intensity.
