Celebrate National Engineering Week at Toronto City Hall – Walking Tour

To celebrate National Engineering Month in March, the Canadian Green Building Council and the City of Toronto are exploring the ideas around building a resilience city under climate change.
There will be a set of short walking tours around Toronto City Hall followed by a panel of guests who will talk about various topics of engineering solutions for urban climate change.
Topics of the walking tour and talk:
- Earth energy for existing buildings – Visit the lawn of Osgoode Hall, which covers a large closed-loop heating and cooling system.
- Green Roofs for Healthy Cities – Hear about the construction of the green roof at city hall and learn how storm water is captured while creating healthy urban ecosystems
- Recladding for Energy Efficiency – Learn now the Hudson’s Bay Company is tackling sustainability through recladdingTOUR MEET-UP LOCATION: The stage stairs in front of City Hall, Nathan Phillips Square
